Vintage Toledo Spain Handcrafted Pottery Vase Water Pitcher Signed Isacu
Handcrafted in Toledo, Spain, this piece is approximately 10 3/4" tall. It is in excellent condition with no major chips or scratches but does have a crack on the inside at the top - see last pic which is practically unnoticeable.
Signed on the bottom by artist named Isacu, it is painted with the city of Toledo, Spain's coat of arms which consists of the imperial double-headed eagle Sable (black) bearing an escutcheon with the arms of Castile and Leon quartered and Granada in point (a pomegranate as in the current Spanish Arms) surrounded by the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece, and crowned by the Imperial crown.
This pitcher would be perfect to display anywhere in a residence or office. We tested it holding liquids and it did not leak, even at the crack line. Could be used to serve your favorite beverage or Sangria. What a presentation!
